It started coming down in really big flakes again, so I grabbed my camera :0)
It's pretty but I am thankful it's not sticking around.....

and......
Yay, Mike is grouting the tile today.

Saturday is my day to finish the touch up painting in the bathroom and start painting one of the cabinets my dad has ready. We are getting closer :0)
Two posts in one day! Bet that won't happen again for awhile...
Bye for now.

Primitive Toothwash and Snow

I think this is so cute! I just had to show all of you. It's another great idea/pattern from Char at The Pickled Pepper Patch I just love it and will have to make one for each of my bathroom's.

Char has lots of great ideas and tips on her blog! Be sure to stop by and check it out.
I have lots of things saved on my computer, now I just need more time to work on them!!

This morning we woke up to snow. It's been snowing off and on all day, some big flakes, some little. Thankfully nothing is sticking and it's going to warm up to the 50's over the weekend. I need the warmer weather to stick around until after my open house!

Uhhhh....I just went to get a picture of the snow off my camera and there isn't one there....Kayleigh went out this morning and took a picture. I didn't realize she deleted it because it didn't turn out. I didn't take one because I thought she did. Oh well, it's not snowing now. I am sure I will have LOTS of snow pictures to show you later :0)

I am off to work on some more things for the open house.
Have a GREAT day and thank you for stopping by.

A Simple Bar of Soap

Who would have guessed you could use a bar of soap for more than just getting cleaned up??
I've heard several times that if you put a bar of soap under the sheets at the bottom of your bed, it will help with restless legs, cramps, and the like. Well, I read it again on a blog the other day and decided I should give it a try. My left leg had a burning sensation and no matter what position I was laying in I just couldn't get comfortable. I got a bar of Lever soap and put it in the bed, I don't know if it was all in my head, LOL, or if it really did something. I was able to get to sleep and that sensation didn't bother me at all.

I don't know exactly what it does or why it does it, but for some reason it seemed to work. I will be trying it again to see if I get the same results.

If anyone has any more information on this, please comment here and I will include it in a post. I would like to know why and how this helps?? I am all for alternative methods!!

I've been busy getting ready for my Holiday Open House. It will be on Saturday 11/14 from 9am-5pm and Sunday 11/15 from 2pm-5pm. I have received all my Christmas orders, have the items in the computer, and all priced. I will start putting all of the Christmas items in the shoppe on the 11th. In the mean time I am working on hand made items to be included.

Speaking of which....I need to get back to creating :0) Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Another Great Giveaway and Update

The Old Farmhouse Gathering group on Etsy is getting bigger and bigger with lots of talented members. Recently Dina from The Country Primitives
has joined our group, and
she is having a great giveaway on her blog for some of her adorable prim ornies.

Click here to be taken to her blog and look for the Celebrations post.

It's a cold and rainy day here in Western New York. A perfect day for working on our bathroom and finishing up a stitchery for my niece.

I was able to get the first coat of paint on the bathroom, and Mike is going to work on more tile this afternoon. The name of the paint is bamboo, it has a light green tint. We can't wait to have that toilet back in there!

Here is the stitchery I am working on for my niece. She had originally bought this stitchery from my gift shoppe. Her dog at the stitched part off the frame, and that is what I am replacing for her. I also happened to have one hanging in my family room so I am just working off that one. She lives in Indiana and I will be mailing the stitched piece to her and she will add it to her frame.
Well, we have to run to Home Depot to get some more things for the bathroom, and then some groceries. Have a great day everyone and thank you for stopping by!

Good Ending to a Horrible Start

Thank you for all your prayers and well wished for my dogs. After a long day they are both home safe and sound. I found Jack this morning as I was driving down our road. He was about a mile from our house, and ended up spending the night on one of our neighbors porch. They didn't know whose dog it was and every time they tried to get close to him he took off. He happened to be across the street from their house, in the road looking toward their house, when I found him. They were outside on their porch with their dog. They said he had been there all night but they hadn't seen another dog with him. That worried me….knowing that they were separated all night and Gunner was most likely still in the woods. I drove and walked all over looking for him, went to the police station, and called two animal control officers. Once Mike got home he went walking through the woods while I went to get stuff for a dog run. I picked him up and was driving to another area for him to walk through the woods, as we were driving down the road Mike saw him. He had found his way to a house with some people around and had hung around all afternoon. They had called the SPCA and reported him, and were trying to figure out what they should do with him. The majority of the houses in this area are vacation homes, and these people happened to be from Canada. He was also about a mile from our house. Gunner is really sore and banged up, not to mention extremely tired! I don't think he's left his chair since we got him home.

They will both sleep extremely well tonight, and they will not be just let out anymore. That's something that will take some getting use to. They've never been chained up at home. Mike put up a really long run for them to use, and hopefully they will get use to it in no time.

Once again, thank you for all your prayers!

Very Sad Day

Last night our dog's went out after dinner and they have not returned, which is very unlike them. I am assuming they were chasing a deer and got lost. Please pray that I find them today. The longer they are gone the less likely they will make it home. They may be just dogs to some but they are a huge part of my life.

Man's Best Friend

That sure is true! Our dogs bring lots of happiness to our lives everyday, I couldn't imagine a day without them. Every morning to go outside and roam through the woods before coming in for breakfast. After they have breakfast you are sure to
find them doing this...
Jack is comfortably under the covers with his head on the pillow and Gunner is sprawled out at the bottom of the bed.

Pretty soon Jack will be up with his ball or looking for someones lap to sit in.

This morning he decided to go in and learn some things during health class. He is such a lover and likes to be under the covers. Gunner and Jack are such opposites, Jack likes attention all the time and Gunner only wants it when he asks for it. I never thought I would like to have a little dog, but I really like having a dog that likes to cuddle and be held.

Well, enough about the dogs. As you can see I was able to get my blog back to the way it was, but I have something new coming and I am so excited about it. Kayleigh had to help me pick which template I wanted and now I can't wait for it to be completed. I went with something totally different than the picture of my great uncle in the horse and buggy, which I will continue to use for my business. Stop back again soon to see my changes :0)
Have a wonderful day!
