This morning we woke up to snow. It's been snowing off and on all day, some big flakes, some little. Thankfully nothing is sticking and it's going to warm up to the 50's over the weekend. I need the warmer weather to stick around until after my open house!

Thank you for all your prayers and well wished for my dogs. After a long day they are both home safe and sound. I found Jack this morning as I was driving down our road. He was about a mile from our house, and ended up spending the night on one of our neighbors porch. They didn't know whose dog it was and every time they tried to get close to him he took off. He happened to be across the street from their house, in the road looking toward their house, when I found him. They were outside on their porch with their dog. They said he had been there all night but they hadn't seen another dog with him. That worried me….knowing that they were separated all night and Gunner was most likely still in the woods. I drove and walked all over looking for him, went to the police station, and called two animal control officers. Once Mike got home he went walking through the woods while I went to get stuff for a dog run. I picked him up and was driving to another area for him to walk through the woods, as we were driving down the road Mike saw him. He had found his way to a house with some people around and had hung around all afternoon. They had called the SPCA and reported him, and were trying to figure out what they should do with him. The majority of the houses in this area are vacation homes, and these people happened to be from Canada. He was also about a mile from our house. Gunner is really sore and banged up, not to mention extremely tired! I don't think he's left his chair since we got him home.
They will both sleep extremely well tonight, and they will not be just let out anymore. That's something that will take some getting use to. They've never been chained up at home. Mike put up a really long run for them to use, and hopefully they will get use to it in no time.
Once again, thank you for all your prayers!

find them doing this...
